Tjeerd Brenninkmeijer | CEO
Tjeerd is one of the two original founders of Hippo. Before Hippo he had worked for companies like KPMG, ProjectX and Fource Consulting . He was successful consultant before founding Hippo. Tjeerd handles the general management and looks after the service side of the business. In his scarce spare hours you can find Tjeerd with his kiteboard along the Dutch North Sea coast or along the waters of the Ysselmeer. Every Friday morning he is working from home while taking care of his two sons Olivier and Jasper.
Jeroen Verberg | CFO
Jeroen grew up on top of the Dutch gas bubble in the far north east of Holland. During his economics studies at the University of Amsterdam, Jeroen founded Hippo together with Tjeerd. After completing his studies, he went straight his university desk to one at Hippo where he took on the Head of Sales and Business Development role. With the growth of Hippo, Jeroen's role grew as well and today he is the CFO responsible for all finances at Hippo as well as being Hippo's extraordinary salesperson. Jeroen and his wife Manou have two kids, Steven and Florine, He lives on the outskirts of Amsterdam. In his spare time, Jeroen loves playing golf and most recently he had his first hole in one at the local golf course.
Arje Cahn | CTO
Arjé is the technical brains behind Hippo's CMS. He is an avid member of the Apache Software Foundation and has a number of commitments in his name. As CTO, Arjé keeps a close eye on all technological developments within Hippo. In that matter nothing escapes his attention. At an early age, Arjé went along with his dad, then owner of a special FX company for the media industry, and kept himself busy behind the computer for days on end. Arjé was also the proud owner of a cat with the unpronounceable name Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Most recently, Arjé and his wife Kristen became parents of a lovely baby daughter named Nora. You can occasionally see him walk with a pram through the Amsterdam Zoo, Artis, which is just around the corner from their house.

Hippo CMS: for publishing web and intranet content. This native XML content management system is suited for organizations that have large amounts of unstructured data. Hippo CMS allows you to organize and structure your content and makes content retrieval easier.
Hippo Portal: streamlines and authorizes various information sources in your company. The portal technology (JSR-168) enables you to integrate back-office applications without losing control. It allows for personalisation and extensive rights management.
Hippo Document Management (CDM): is suited for maintaining technical documentation (compound documents). It can handle complex XML structures and still allows for lightning fast retrieval (a big plus against other players in this field).
